What Pleases Him? • Psalm 147:11

“He [The Lord] does not delight in the strength of the horse; He takes no pleasure in the legs of a man.” Psalm 147:10 Can anyone ever out-give the Lord? Romans 11:35 says, “Or who has first given to Him And it shall be repaid to him?” We must know that in our greatest efforts and with our greatest strengths we accomplish nothing in bringing God pleasure.  Psalm 147 shows us what the Lord does take pleasure in: “The LORD takes pleasure in those who fear Him, In those who hope in His mercy.” Psalm 147:11 May we please Him not by mere works but by honoring Him with our lives.
