In Matthew 9:37 , Jesus said to his disciples, "The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest." Jesus made it clear that prayer is the foundation to any involvement in service. As you pray and seek God's will in His word, He will direct your path. The desire to serve is a (super)natural and proper response to the work of Christ within you. The Bible uses the human body (Romans 12:3-8) as a metaphor to describe how the local church should function. The entire body is blessed by proper placement and functioning of each part. An "elbow" makes a terrible "knee," and vice versa. God made you unique, with an important part to play in His plan! When every part does its part, the whole body is healthy. When any part fails to function properly, the whole body suffers. Ephesians 2:10 tells us that we are God's workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works which He planned for us before the foundations of the earth. Enjoy the excitement and challenge of this truth as you answer God's call and find your place in the body of Christ. 1) READ the Ministry Opportunity list (on the right), which gives a short description of the various ministries of the church. 2) READ the Statement of Faith . If there is anything you do not understand or agree with, please discuss these differences with the ministry contact. Can two walk together unless they are agreed? (Amos 3:3). 3) COMPLETE the Ministry Questionnaire. 4) UNDERSTAND that we seek to follow the Holy Spirit, not a form or a formula. Completion of a questionnaire or meeting the basic requirements of service in an area is not a guarantee of any particular ministry role or responsibility. 5) CONTACT the ministry overseer to discuss opportunities and requirements for service in that area. "He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much." Luke 16:10***NOTICE***
In order to serve in a ministry you must have completed (or be on your way to completing) certain requirements.
These requirements are as follows: -Read and agree with Calvary Chapel’s Statement of Faith.
