In Philippians 3:14, Paul gives us his attitude toward ministry: “I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” The Call is a ministry that emphasizes the importance of our spiritual maturity and preparation in our walk with the Lord through service and ministry.
Vision Statement
The purpose of The Call is to establish and ground singles in their relationship with God by the communication of wisdom and skills through the teaching of the Word and by the provision of practical opportunities to serve in the church and throughout the community. Our desire is, in essence, to help bridge the gap from knowledge to practice.
Our heart for the single’s ministry is one that, in the unique position that God has privileged us to be in as singles, we would be ‘redeeming the time’-making the most of each opportunity God gives us to grow into the likeness of Him through fulfilling the calling that He’s place on all of our lives.
Our vision for the Single’s Ministry is that it would be a headquarters, of sorts:
- That this ministry would provide an environment conducive to growth in those areas of our Christian walk in which there might be anything lacking in us for us to be serving in the ministry that God has called us to through discipleship.
- That this ministry would be a hub where the needs of the church and community can be taken notice of and met to the best of the ability which God provides.
- That through practical opportunities of ministry and service within the church and in the community we would all walk away with a greater definition and focus as to what God’s specific calling and gifting is for our life.
Our prayer is that, more and more, our hearts would be surrendered to Him and that we would be positioning ourselves so as to delight Him and to see Him do His utmost in and through us.
