Missions Ministry

The vision of the Missions Ministry at Calvary Chapel Miami is to make disciples of all nations. We want to reach the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. We will do this by…

  1. Establishing supportive relationships with existing ministries and individuals already involved in world evangelism and discipleship. Local, national, and international ministries will be supported. It is our hope that we will be able to establish relationships with ministries that collectively are reaching the entire globe. We especially are concerned with those people groups who have yet to hear the gospel.
  2. Educating the people within our fellowship regarding the heart of God for the world and also regarding to what we are doing to fulfill the Great Commission. The purpose of this education is to create world Christians who pray for the lost consistently, seek the Lord about their role in missions fervently, and give of their time, talents, and treasures generously. It is our hope that God would raise up people from within our congregation that would grow in their giftings and then leave to begin new ministries locally, nationally, or internationally.
  3. Going to the nations in order to partner with Biblical ministries who are committed to serving that region long-term. We will look for parts of the world where little is happening or where there is tremendous need. Then, we will seek to come alongside an existing ministry and help them via prayer, a short-term team of workers, or other appropriate ways, as the Lord would lead. We will look for people in our body who seem to have an interest or calling in missions and pray for them, encourage them, provide resources and training to them, and support them. In short, we will send them.

In all of this, we desire the Lord’s will and recognize that His ways are higher than our ways. Therefore, we will remain open to the leading and direction of the Holy Spirit even and especially in those situations that may not make sense to us. May the Lord be glorified and may His kingdom be furthered.
