In Judges 8:4, Gideon came to the Jordan, he and the three hundred men who were with him, and crossed over, exhausted but still in pursuit. Obedience to the Lord combats exhaustion. Have you ever been in a place where you wanted to quit because of exhaustion or frustration? Exhaustion or frustration has robbed many people from the fulfilling blessings of seeing a work of God through to the end. God equips those (us) He calls, and He will supply our every need from start to finish. Steady obedience outlasts explosive beginnings. You see Gideon in Judges 7-8 apprehensive at times, but he never stopped pursuing God. Gideon was exhausted but still in pursuit. Tired or not, continue to pursue God, as you realize God never stops pursuing you.
