How Can I Serve?

In Matthew 9:37, Jesus said to his disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”

Jesus made it clear that prayer is the foundation to any involvement in service. As you pray and seek God’s will in His word, He will direct your path. Below are the requirements to serve at Calvary Chapel Miami:

  1. Read the Ministry Opportunity list below, which gives a short description of the various ministries in the church.

  2. Read the Statement of Faith. If there is anything you do not understand or agree with, we'd be happy to have a conversation with you. You can call the church office at 305.667.8577

  3. Complete the Foundations of Faith classes. Check out the church calendar to see when we are holding these classes next.

  4. Complete and submit the Ministry Application. Click the button below to fill it out.

Ministry Opportunities

BOOKSTORE – This ministry makes Christian books and other resources available to the church.

CAFÉ – If you have skills in the kitchen, maybe Café is for you! Youth Café is open every Sunday morning, serving up breakfast and coffee. Revival Café serves lunch after church twice a month.

CARING MINISTRIES – This ministry is for those who have a heart for the hurting and would like to minister in the hospitals and prisons.

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY* – What a privilege it is to serve the Lord by teaching these precious little ones! If you love children, why not become a teacher or a teacher’s assistant?

CLEANING – This ministry gives people the opportunity to help beautify the property by cleaning before services.

GREETERS/USHERS/PARKING LOT – Often the very first contact people have with Calvary Chapel is someone from one of these ministries. Servants volunteer during all Sunday and Wednesday services.

HOSPITAL VISITATION – Jesus told us to visit the sick. This is a practical and beautiful way to care for the hurting among us.

INFORMATION TABLE – This ministry serves as a support system for the entire body by providing the congregation with information on upcoming events, conferences and general inquiries.

LADIES MINISTRY – There are several ladies ministry events scheduled throughout the year. Ladies who serve in this ministry can help coordinate and set up these events.

LANDSCAPING AND GARDENING – If God has given you a “green thumb,” our property is always in need of grooming.

OFFICE ASSISTANCE – From time to time, we need people to answer phones, do filing, and other simple office tasks.

MISSIONS MINISTRY – From going on a short-term trip, to putting together newsletters, there is a place for those with a heart to help get the gospel to all nations!

PRAYER MINISTRY – Perhaps the most important ministry at the church, we have a 24-hour prayer list, and need people to pray for a variety of situations.

TRANSLATION MINISTRY – All of our services are translated from English into Spanish simultaneously. Translators are a great blessing to our Spanish-speaking family.

YOUTH MINISTRY – Pray for, lead and guide students in 6th to 12th grade on Fridays.

YOUNG ADULTS MINISTRY - Pray for, lead and guide young adults ages 18-33 on Mondays.

WORSHIP AND SOUND – If you would like to “Sing a new song unto the Lord,” consider auditioning for the worship team, or being part of the sound ministry.

* If you are seeking to serve in Children’s Ministry, you will be asked to sign a release form for a criminal background check. The ministry overseer will provide this form after the above steps are completed.

We are thankful for your willingness to serve the Lord and bless His people through serving at church!
