Struggle is a terrible thing to waste.
Our God is so efficient that even the things intended for evil, He will use for good in a life surrendered to Him (Genesis 50:20). It’s good to know that through life's trials God is with us, and He is producing something in us.
Trees get stronger roots when the winds blow against them. The same is true with our lives. During trials, our faith grows roots, our relationships with those around us deepen, our view of God’s faithfulness draws closer, and our courage to step out into new possibilities for Jesus strengthens. As we face difficult times, we can walk in the confidence and strength of the Lord, able to even glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope (Romans 5:3-4).
